Q.1 | Is the Open School Certificate equivalent to the Board Certificate? |
Ans. | The Certificate issued under Haryana Open School is very much at par with the other corresponding certificate issued under the formal system by the Board. In fact, the students who pass out from HOS can take admission to the next higher class within Haryana as well as outside Haryana; they are also eligible for employment as per the orders issued by Haryana Government. All the Universities of Haryana have issued a circular granting equivalency to Haryana Open School Certificates. |
Q.2 | How many days are given to apply for rechecking of answer book after the declaration of the result? |
Ans. | 30 days are given for the purpose of application for rechecking from the date of declaration of result. |
Q.3 | Who is entitled for “Kalpana Chawla� Gold medal award? |
Ans. | This award has been instituted for the girl candidates of Secondary & Sr. Secondary Examinations of this Board. The girl candidate standing first in Both examinations will be entitled to Kalpana Chawla Gold Medal along with cash prize of 25,000/-. |
Q.4 | Can a candidate who is failing in one subject in matric examination opt for Science or Commerce stream at 10+1? |
Ans. | Such candidates can take Science and Commerce stream subject to the conditions that they cleared the subject they have failed in within immediate next two chances. |
Q.5 | How does one get his/her Migration Certificate? |
Ans. | In order to get the Migration Certificate one has to apply on the prescribed form along with the prescribed fee of Rs.100/-.However, from the annual examination 2003 all successful candidates at senior secondary level get their Migration Certificate along with the pass certificates. |
Q.6 | If somebody looses his/her pass certificate, can one get a Duplicate Certificate? |
Ans. | Yes. One has to apply on prescribed form along with the prescribed fee applicable as below: A. Rs. 500/- for getting a Duplicate Certificate on the same day by hand. B. Rs. 300/- for getting a Duplicate Certificate by registered post within a week. C. Rs. 200/- for getting a Duplicate Certificate by registered post in routine. A photograph has to be attached with the application form with both the photograph and the form attested by the Principal of the School last attended.If the Duplicate Certificate is also lost then along with the above, an Affidavit has to be enclosed certifying that the Duplicate Certificate has been lost. |
Q.7 | Within how many days one should take admission in a school after getting migration certificate? |
Ans. | As per the rules of enrolment one should take admission within 20 days from the date of migration. |
Q.8 | Is any consideration given for the purpose of admission to those whose results are declared late by the Board due to UMC or some other reasons? |
Ans. | In such cases, a candidate is given 20 days from the declaration of result for the purpose of admission. |
Q.9 | Are the candidates of HOS also given any consideration for the purpose of admission as their results are usually declared later than those under the formal system? |
Ans. | The candidates of HOS are also given 20 days from the date of declaration of result for the purpose of taking admission in class XI of the formal system. |
Q.10 | Can a candidate also opt for computer Science in any stream of Senior Secondary class? |
Ans. | Yes, a candidate can opt for Computer Science as an elective subject. |
Q.11 | Can a candidate of HOS, who has been placed in re-appear in one or more subjects, take admission in class XI of formal system? |
Ans. | A candidate of HOS who has been placed in re-appear not more than two subjects in Secondary examination can take admission in class XIth of formal system subject to the condition that he/she has to clear those subjects with in immediate two  chances. |
Q.12 | The Board in its circular dated 7.7.2003 has informed that the exemption offered to Deaf and Dumb students in one of the two compulsory languages i.e. Hindi and English has been withdrawn. Is it right to withdraw such exemption? |
Ans. | The Board has reinstated the exemption offered to Deaf and Dumb candidates in this regard. |
