Secrecy
Main function of the Secrecy Branch is to make arrangements for evaluation of answer books of Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations evaluated after completion of supplementary/annual examinations. Marking centres are established in the State of Haryana as per requirement and keeping in view the number of candidates appearing in the various examinations. Each marking centre is headed by a Controller, Head examiners/sub examiners are got appointed as per requirement of the marking centres, through computer by the Secrecy Branch, out of the staff statement received from the schools affiliated with this Board. Helping staff such as checking Assistants, Clerk, Peon, Chowkidar etc, are appointed by the controller of the marking centres.
Academic qualifications and teaching experience prescribed for appointment of Head examiner/Sub-examiner and checking Assistants etc. and rates for remuneration payable to controller, Head examiner/Sub-examiner & checking Assistants etc. are under:-
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR SENIOR SECONDARY EXAMINATIONS:-
Qualifications For The Appointment of Sub-Examiners:
He must have qualification required for the appointment of a lecturer by the Govt. and must have minimum three years teaching experience. Lecturers appointed on adhoc/temporary/contract basis are not to be appointed as sub-examiner.
Qualifications For The Appointment Of Head-Examiners:
For Principal:- He must have minimum five years experience on the post of principal in any Govt./recognized school and must be teaching the relevant subject. He must also have completed the prescribed qualifications laid down by the Govt. for the post of principal.
For Lecturer:- He must have ten years teaching experience as a Lecture in any Govt./recognized school and must also be teaching the subject. He must also have completed the prescribed qualifications laid down by the government for the post of Lecturer.
Qualifications For the Appointment Of Single Examiners:
He must have the qualifications laid down by the Govt. for the appointment of a lecturer. He must have five years minimum teaching experience in the subject in which he is to be appointed as a single examiner.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION FOR SECONDARY EXAMINATIONS:-
Qualifications For The Appointment Of Sub-Examiners:
He must have the requisite qualification for the post of a PGT/Lect./ master prescribed by the Govt. and must have three years minimum teaching experience in the subject in which he is to be appointed as sub examiner. PGT/Lect./Masters appointed on adhoc/temporary/contract basis are not to be appointed as a sub examiner.
Qualifications For The Appointment Of Head-Examiners:
Headmaster:- A headmaster must have 15 years minimum teaching experience including the experience of a master. He must be teaching the relevant subject in the Govt. or recognized school and fulfils the qualifications stipulated by the Govt.
PGT/Lect. :- PGT/Lect. heaving teaching experience more than three years can be appointed as Head examiner.
Master:- A master having 20 years minimum teaching experience in a subject in any Govt./recognized school is eligible for appointment as Head examiner and must have requisite qualifications stipulated by the Govt.
Qualifications For The Appointment Of Single Examiners:
He must have the requisite qualifications prescribed by the Govt. for the post of a master and have five years minimum teaching experience in the subject in which he is to be appointed as single examiner.
RATE OF REMUNERATION:-
Secondary Rs.14/-per A/Book and D.El.Ed/Sr. Sec. Rs. 16/-per A/Book
- Co-ordination Fee To Head Examiner for Senior Secondary-Rs 100/- per S.E.
- Co-ordination Fee To Head Examiner Secondary-Rs 100/- per S.E.

Daily allowance Rs.40/-per day flat rate those who will entitled to TA/DA as per rules.
Local mileage Rs.20/-per day to those who will not be entitled to TA/DA as per rules. tea/snack- Rs.25/-per head per day
Note:- One clerk and one peon for every 50 or less number of examiners. One sweeper and one chowkidar for each marking centre.
No local mileage or TA/DA will be admissible to controller/centre clerk/peon/sweeper and checking assistant. Actual bus fare from H.Q. to marking centre and back will be paid once as per rules.
The bill of adjustment of advance be submitted to the chief accounts officer of the Board within fortnight after marking is over and at the same time balance amount if any, be deposited with the cashier of the board.
